Australian Weblogs, the blog directory
Aussie Blogs was started as a web ring in March 2000. It highlights Australian weblogs and promotes weblogging in Australia. Adding blogs is very easy here and is approved within 1-2 days. The directory is crawled by major search engines regularly.
It shows "Recent Additions" in their home page so if you submit a new site here be sure that it would be crawled by searchengines within 4-5 days. It also shows the updates for the blogs in its directory for recent posts.
